The Operating System for Wildfire Prevention
ForestSat was built from a simple thesis: megafires are not random natural disasters. They are the terminal phase of multi-year risk accumulation that can be observed, reconstructed — and prevented — using satellite Earth Observation, remote sensing, forest science and AI.
From Reacting to Fires to Preventing Them
The current wildfire management paradigm is built around reaction: detect fires, dispatch resources, fight the blaze, pay the bill. This paradigm is failing. Suppression costs in the US have grown from under $2B in 1994 to a requested $6.55B for FY2026. Insurance losses are growing at 12% per year globally. Eight of the ten costliest wildfire insured events on record have occurred in the past decade.
ForestSat was created to make prevention operational — not theoretical. To turn satellite data into decisions. To make the invisible visible: the slow-building fuel accumulation, the drying vegetation, the emerging danger that satellite systems can detect years before a spark becomes a megafire.
The strategic thesis is simple: identify where fire risk is accumulating → guide preventive action → verify it was done → respond intelligently when fires start → measure and recover. This is the ForestSat lifecycle.
Ajay Goyal
Founder & CEO
Ajay Goyal founded ForestSat to operationalize the science of wildfire prevention using satellite Earth Observation and AI. He is the author of the four-volume Megawildfires series on Amazon — forensic investigation of megafires from space — and has built the ForestSat platform through bootstrapped development with zero equity dilution.
Validated by the World's Leading Technology Institutions
AWS Space Challenge
Dubai Air Show 2021. Winner. AWS credits recognising ForestSat's satellite EO + cloud architecture as mission-critical infrastructure.
NVIDIA Inception
GPU credits recognising ForestSat's AI/ML fire risk modeling requirements for accelerated compute at geospatial scale.
Fire-Res Alumnus
European wildfire research programme. Scientific credibility in the world's most rapidly escalating fire risk region.
Innovation Norway
Government innovation grant validating ForestSat's technology approach and international expansion thesis.
The Megawildfires Series
The book series turns ForestSat's operational thesis into public evidence, available on Amazon. Megafires are not random — they are the terminal phase of multi-year risk accumulation that can be observed, reconstructed and prevented.
"The book series demonstrates that satellite Earth Observation can identify wildfire risk years before ignition — the scientific foundation of the ForestSat platform."
ForestSat research approach
Research credibility: Evidence base behind the SaaS platform, establishing ForestSat's scientific credentials with government and academic stakeholders.
Policy narrative: Explains prevention to governments, investors and insurers in accessible, documented terms.
Commercial support: Supports sales with a doctrine of measurable prevention — the same thesis the platform operationalizes.
